The Rob Roy Challenge is one of Scotland's most successful fundraising events.  Entering it's 12th year, over 5,500 hardy souls having previously battled the Scottish wilderness to raise over £3 million for a number of worthy charities.

SCAA is thrilled to have been chosen as one of the benefiting charities of the 2018 event; providing an excellent opportunity for supporters to raise vital funding for our life-saving service whilst enjoying a long established, successful event in the stunning Scottish countryside.

Supporters can choose from three bike and hike challenges to suit their fitness levels:

Schiehallion's Shadow

Walk: 14 miles from Kenmore

Cycle: 56 miles from Kenmore to West Loch Rannoch and back to Kenmore

A tough test of stamina and endurance hiking 14 miles from Kenmore and then climbing your way out of the shadow of the mighty Schiehallion mountain on a 56 mile cycle route.

Big Red

Walk: 14 miles from Kenmore

Cycle: 35 miles from Kenmore to Kinloch Loch Rannoch and back to Kenmore

Rob Roy was known as Big Red and this route requires bravery and stamina to match that of the infamous outlaw on a 14 mile hike followed by a 35 mile cycle.

Rob Roy Ramble

Walk: 14 miles from Kenmore

Follow in Rob Roy MacGregor’s footsteps with a challenging 14 mile hike along part of the Rob Roy Way with rewards of majestic views down Loch Tay.
