The National Farmers Union Scotland's Centenary Trust has announced its final allocation round.

That last tranche of charitable cash was spread across Argyll, Angus, the Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Moray, North East and Ayrshire, putting more than £20,000 into projects focussed on one of the Trust's key objectives - the promotion of health and safety on farms and in rural areas.

Davidsons Chemist, which has a branch in Brechin, has announced it will be supporting Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance in 2015.

Staff, patients and customers were given the opportunity to choose the company’s charity for 2015.

Over 3,000 votes were cast online, with Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) emerging as the preferred choice.

With road conditions challenging due to heavy rain, coupled with roadworks, the decision was taken to fly the 90-year-old woman to hospital in Dundee.
