As today marks the start of Air Ambulance Week 2026, we are celebrating the life-saving pre-hospital care that your support helps deliver every day in Scotland.
The theme of this year’s campaign message is ‘Every Mission Starts with You’. Each year, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is tasked to hundreds of missions throughout the country, and each mission is fueled by the support of our donors and fundraisers.
Thanks to that support, and our crew reaching those patients in time, lives have been saved and families have been reunited.
From individual donors and fundraisers in local communities, to lottery players and corporate partnerships, every mission relies on this collective support. Together, you fund life-saving flights, specialist equipment, operational enhancements, and critical care teams ready to respond 365 days a year.
Each SCAA mission costs on average around £7,500, funded entirely by support from the Scottish public.
We rely on generous donations to continue delivering urgent, advanced medical care to people with sudden life-threatening injuries or illnesses. By supporting SCAA, you’re helping save lives and improve patient outcomes every single day.
