Thousands of supporters help SCAA takeover Murrayfield Stadium

Countless brave souls took on our challenge and joined our Stadium Takeover at Murrayfield Stadium to abseil and stairclimb in support of our air ambulance crews.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance’s first ever Stadium Takeover event also saw thousands enjoy a fantastic community event highlighting the vital work of their air ambulance crews. While some plucked up the courage to abseil almost 100ft from the stadium roof, others took on the challenge to climb 7,500 stairs around the iconic Scottish stadium.

This unique charity fundraiser raised over £140,000 to support SCAA’s vital life-saving service.

SCAA events officer Caryn Whitelaw said: “We’re extremely grateful to Murrayfield Stadium for letting us takeover their home for a day, and overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from all our amazing participants.”

Photographer Graeme Hart captured these brilliant highlights on the day.
