Supernova Forth Road Bridge

Start Date 2nd November 2024 at 2:00 pm
End Date 2nd November 2024 at 8:00 pm

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

On Saturday, 2nd November 2024, the iconic Forth Road Bridge will be completely closed for you to walk, jog or run 5k. Celebrate its 60th anniversary in a magical, immersive evening of light and colour

Expressions of interest to participate in this event is already unprecedented, and as such, a ballot process will be used to allocate places for this exclusive experience.

If successful in the ballot to take part in the very first Supernova Forth Road Bridge, you can look forward to:

  1. Walking, jogging, or running a 5K route, enjoying a series of spectacular light and colour features all the way. The event is completely accessible and therefore suitable for all abilities. You decide your pace, whether that is to run at the speed of light, or take your time and snap a few pictures and selfies as you go!
  2. Reconnect with the Forth Road Bridge, as it celebrates it’s 60th birthday. Many of us remember crossing it in a car or on the pedestrian footpaths, but with it being completely closed to traffic for the evening, this is an opportunity to tread those carriageways on foot.
  3. You’ll be given a special LED Supernova head torch to help you light up the night. You can take this home with you afterwards.
  4. Transport to and from the Forth Road Bridge from the Supernova travel hub, where your experience will begin.
  5. Before you reach that start line, we’ll make sure you’re ready for it by participating in a fun Supernova warm-up full of easy moves and stretches.
  6. After finishing your Supernova Forth Road Bridge experience, you will receive your exclusive Supernova Forth Road Bridge medal and finishers pack as a memento of your evening!

The ballot application process is now open for you to be in with a chance of taking part in this unmissable experience. Just click here to enter the Supernova Forth Road Bridge ballot now for SCAA!
